We are pleased to offer this new 5 speed gearbox conversion kit based on the Mazda MX-5 gearbox. The conversion uses a brand new MX-5 gearbox giving the MGB the slick gear change that has become synonymous with the MX-5 and a relaxed cruising 5th????gear.
The kit fits MGB's between 1968-80 fitted with the 5 main bearing engine and tube axle. The gearbox replaces the original 4 synchro non overdrive unit.
The kit is supplied with a fully assembled gearbox with a bespoke cast bell housing & casing designed to fit directly to the MGBƒ?????s engine back plate. The bell housing flange has been designed to resemble the standard gearbox preserving engine bay originality.
The conversion uses the standard MGB flywheel & clutch cover and a new OE Mazda clutch plate is supplied with the kit. Installation is simplified with no cutting or permanent modifications required. Many of the components are preassembled to the gearbox and only require connections to the car.

Please Note: The????gearbox is prefilled with SAE 75W-90 oil.
