The heat build up in the engine bay can cause premature failure of components, particularly starter motors where the exhaust manifolds are in close proximity. The radiant heat from the exhaust can be enough to destroy the windings of the starter and the solenoid. This Thermo-Tec™ universal starter motor insulation kit is manufactured from a race proven aluminized heat insulation products and protects starter motors by reflecting up to 90% of the radiated from exhausts and withstands temperatures up to 1000°C.
