Brake calipers can corrode or rust over time or due to excessive use. Frequent on-off braking can also generate a lot of heat which will further reduce the lifespan of the brake calipers and other related brake parts. Old and worn brakes can seize up, which is highly dangerous on the road and a reason for MOT failure.
These Cooper S 7.5” replacement calipers (designed to fit 10” wheels) are an ideal upgrade from the smaller 997/998 discs or if you are restoring a Cooper S.
